The intention behind the designs and facilities of the hotel is to highlight “the unique position of Equinox Hudson Yards as a sanctuary that facilitates the elevation of body and mind.” An expansive two-floor club that offers personalized activities - from personal training programs to private Pilates classes - is also available for guests. Joyce Wang Studio’s spa and fitness club features a dynamic wood pattern, twisted steel details and stretched ceiling patterns to “capture the contrast between the rawness of the railroads and refined forms of celebrated architecture.” The space consists of two plunge pools, an indoor saltwater pool, a “jewel box-like” hair salon and an outdoor deck with views of Thomas Heatherwick’s Vessel. Rockwell Group’s Electric Lemon restaurant has an outdoor terrace that overlooks the Hudson River, along with a reflecting pool that houses a Jaume Plensa sculpture. Partnering with Coco-Mat, Equinox provides all-natural mattresses made out of organic materials such as seaweed, coconut fiber and eucalyptus. Designed by the Rockwell Group, the hotel’s 212 rooms are referred to as “sleeping chambers,” complete with total-blackout window systems, padded walls and upholstered headboards for soundproofing. ![]() Combining a luxury aesthetic with natural details, the Equinox Hotel boasts an environment focused on rest and relaxation, as well as pristine architecture and design.
